Community Presentations & Engagement

Council presented information regarding the Bowral South NLA at a public forum organised by WinZero, held on 26 March 2024 at the Moss Vale Services Club. In addition, Council held two community engagement consultation events on 12 & 13 April 2024, at the Loseby Park Community Centre in Bowral.

Landowner Consultation

Initial consultations were held with local residents and landowners in June 2023. Outcomes of these consultations included are currently being compiled in a larger public exhibition engagement outcomes report which will be presented to Council when the Bowral South NLA Master Plan is adopted.

    Design Focus Group

Three (3) Design Focus Group Workshops were held in November 2023, December 2023 and May 2024.

    Student Engagement

Geography students were engaged to share their vision for the New Living Area (NLA). This was a great opportunity for our younger generation to tell us more about how they wanted the NLA to look and feel.

We will continue to work with our youth community to help shape the draft Master Plan for the NLA.

As part of our recent engagement at Oxley College with Year 3 and Year 9 students we undertook a visioning activity to captures ideas about the NLA. Please see below for some of the visions received.

    Public Exhibition Period

The Draft Master Plan and Servicing Strategy were then formally exhibited from 29 July to 23 September 2024. During this time, a variety of engagement opportunities were available, including scheduled drop-in sessions, an online submission form, written submissions, etc.

A review of the 118 written community submissions and 49 survey responses received during the exhibition period has since been completed. This report will accompany the revised draft Master Plan when it is presented back to Council.
