Community Presentations & Engagement

Council presented information regarding the Bowral South NLA at a public forum organised by WinZero, held on 26 March 2024 at the Moss Vale Services Club. In addition, Council held two community engagement consultation events on 12 & 13 April 2024, at the Loseby Park Community Centre in Bowral.

Previous Online Consultation

Initial online community consultation was held October - November 2023 leveraging the Bowral South NLA Participate Page. A public exhibition engagement outcomes report will be presented to Council when the Bowral South NLA Master Plan is adopted.

Landowner Consultation

Initial consultations were held with local residents and landowners in June 2023. Outcomes of these consultations included are currently being compiled in a larger public exhibition engagement outcomes report which will be presented to Council when the Bowral South NLA Master Plan is adopted.

    Design Focus Group

    Three (3) Design Focus Group Workshops were held in November 2023, December 2023 and May 2024.

    Local Planning Panel

    Bowral South NLA was presented to the Local Planning Panel on several occasions throughout the development of the Draft Master Plan and Servicing Strategy. These dates are detailed below:

    Youth Engagement

    Over the course of the project, Council has engaged with local young people to seek input about the Draft Master Plan and Bowral South NLA.

    Council will continue to seek opportunities to hear from the youth community and gain input from this group to best inform the Draft Master Plan and the NLA.

    Public Exhibition Period

    At the Wednesday 17 July 2024 Ordinary Meeting of Council the Draft Master Plan for Bowral South NLA was endorsed to go on Public Exhibition from Monday 29 July - Monday 30 September 2024.

    A variety of engagement opportunities were also available during the public exhibition period including:

    • Public Exhibition Submission Form
    • First Nations Engagement
    • Youth Engagement
    • Written Submissions

    Outcomes of engagement conducted will be captured in a Public Exhibition Engagement Outcomes Report, to be tabled with the report to Council seeking adoption, in the near future.
