Background:

The objectives of the Draft Council Operations Environment Policy are to:

  • Minimise potential and actual environmental impacts of its activities and operations
  • Protect the environment, preventing pollution and continually improving the sustainability of Council operations
  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to protect and enhance the environment
Wingecarribee Shire Council is dedicated to protecting our environment and reducing our impact. We're committed to:
  • Keeping our environment clean - We want to prevent pollution and ensure a healthy future for our community.
  • Being sustainable - We're always looking for ways to operate more efficiently and reduce our environmental footprint.

This new policy is just one way we're achieving these goals. It works alongside other plans like the Community Strategic Plan and the Environment Strategy to create a clear roadmap for a more sustainable Wingecarribee.
