Our Data Breach Policy approach aims to identify, manage, and mitigate data breaches to safeguard personal information. It ensures compliance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP Act) and aligns with the Mandatory Notification of Data Breach (MNDB) scheme.
The Policy prioritises transparency, accountability, and prompt notification of affected individuals and the Privacy Commissioner when eligible breaches occur. It provides clear procedures for prevention, response, and staff training to enhance security practices and minimise harm.
Through this policy, we aim to maintain public and community trust and demonstrate our commitment to privacy and data protection.
