Council's Draft Liquid Trade Waste Policy is currently on public exhibition for a period of 28 days from Monday 15 April until Monday 13 May 2024.

WHAT IS THE LIQUID TRADE WASTE POLICY OBJECTIVE?

The objectives of the Policy are:

  • to protect public and workers health and safety and the environment
  • to minimise adverse impacts on the sewage treatment processes
  • to assist Council meeting regulatory and licence compliance
  • to promote water conservation, waste minimization, cleaner production, effluent recycling and biosolids reuse
  • to provide an environmentally responsible liquid trade waste service to the non-residential sector
  • to ensure commercial provision of services and full cost recovery through appropriate sewerage and liquid trade waste fees and charges
  • to protect Council’s assets from damage

WHEN IS THE EXHIBITION PERIOD?

The exhibition period will open Monday 15 April 2024 and close on Monday 13 May 2024 (total of 28 days).

The Draft Liquid Trade Waste Policy and associated Council report may be viewed:

  2. Council’s Customer Service Counter, Civic Centre, 68 Elizabeth Street, Moss Vale NSW 2577, between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday; and


HOW CAN I MAKE A SUBMISSION?

Written submissions may be:

  1. Submission Form (below)
  2. Emailed to mail@wsc.nsw.gov.au; or
  3. Hand delivered to Council's Civic Centre at the address provided above; or
  4. Posted to Wingecarribee Shire Council, PO Box 141, Moss Vale NSW 2577.

Your personal information contained in your submission is collected by Council for the purpose of corresponding with you about your submission. If you make an anonymous submission, Council will be unable to contact you further. A summary of the points made in your submission will be contained in the Council meetings business paper and made public on Council’s website.
