Background Information
Council’s current version of the Managing Unreasonable Conduct by Complainants Policy was adopted at the Ordinary Meeting of Council on Wednesday 17 August 2022 following a 28-day exhibition period.
The Policy was developed in accordance with the NSW Ombudsman’s model policy aimed to ensure transparency, accountability, fairness, and consistency in the management of Unreasonable Conduct by Complainants (UCC) incidents.
A review of the policy has not identified any requirements that would warrant an amendment to the current policy nor has the NSW Ombudsman made any amendments to its Model Policy. The current policy has been rebranded utilising the new policy template and amended reference to staff positions identified in the policy to reflect the current organisational structure. The next Policy review period has been amended to two (2) years.
