Nina Gbor from Eco Styles and Morwenna Zabaks Sustainability Officer at WSC open the Froctober Restyle Session which was followed by the clothes swap. Froctober was all about helping our community learn how to "Get off the fashion TRENDmill" as coined by Nina. The Trendmill refers to the frequent buying of news styles, and how clothing companies' market new fashion lines in order to encourage you to purchase the newest styles. This practice is extremely wasteful and one of the main reasons fashion waste is such as enormous problem. See further links at the bottom of the page should you wish to know more about this event and the impact of the fashion industry, plus advice on reducing your fashion footprint.
