Active Transport Boost for Exeter

20 June 2025

Council has recently secured $796,104 through the Get NSW Active program to improve pedestrian access and safety in Exeter.

The funding will deliver two raised pedestrian crossings (known as wombat crossings) on Exeter Road in the village centre. The project also includes road drainage improvements and a new footpath connecting the village centre to Exeter Railway Station.

These upgrades will help slow traffic and provide safer crossing points for school children and locals walking to the station.
