Draft Plan of Management now on exhibition

12 August 2021

You are invited to make a submission on the draft Penrose Village Park Plan of Management by 26 September 2021.

Wingecarribee Shire Council has been working with the Penrose community to review the Plan of Management that covers Penrose Village Park, including Penrose Community Hall, Oval and Tennis Courts. On 11 August 2021, Council resolved to exhibit a draft Plan of Management for Penrose Village Park.

A Plan of Management is a public document that sets out how community land is to be used, improved, managed, and maintained. Council develops Plans of Management under the Local Government Act 1993 (the Act) and assigns one or more categories to the land which will govern how the land can be used. A need to update the Plan of Management for Penrose Village Park has been identified following community requests to relocate the community hall within the site.

In accordance with s38 of the Act, the draft Plan of Management is now on public exhibition, with written submissions being received until 26 September 2021.

💬 A public hearing will also be held on 24 August 2021 from 5 pm to 7 pm, to discuss the change in categorisation of the land from General Community Use/Sportsground to General Community Use/Sportsground/Park. The meeting will be held online, further details can be obtained by contacting Council’s Assets – Parks and Buildings Team by email mail@wsc.nsw.gov.au.
