On 14 July 2021 Council resolved to proceed with a Planning Proposal to amend the Wingecarribee Local Environment Plan (WLEP) 2010 to rezone two areas of Public Reserve to RE1, Public Recreation, created through the Registration of the relevant Plan of Subdivision.

One property is at Retford Park West, Bowral (Lot 439 DP128107) and the second is at Anembo Street, Moss Vale (Lot 1266 DP1248764). In doing so, their current minimum lot size provision would be removed.

On 31 August 2021 the NSW Department of Planning, Industry & Environment issued a Gateway Determination to progress the Planning Proposal to public exhibition. The Proposal is now on exhibition in accordance with the Gateway requirements and submissions sought from the community.

EXHIBITION DATES: The Planning Proposal is on public exhibition for a period of 30 days from Wednesday 20 October to Friday 19 November 2021

Depending on COVID-19 restrictions, a hard copy of the documents will also be made available at Council’s Customer Service Counter, Civic Centre, 68 Elizabeth Street, Moss Vale NSW 2577, between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday during each week of the exhibition period.

MAKE A SUBMISSION: Written submissions to the Planning Proposal may be completed via the relevant online submission form. Submissions may also be emailed to mail@wsc.nsw.gov.au, posted to Wingecarribee Shire Council, PO Box 141, Moss Vale NSW 2577 or hand delivered to the Customer Service Centre, Civic Centre, 68 Elizabeth Street, Moss Vale, during business hours.

Only written submissions can be considered and, although they may be viewed by a third party, they are redacted beforehand (i.e. all identifying features removed)

All submissions must be received by Council before 4.30pm on Friday 19 November 2021 quoting file reference PP-2021-4964.

Wingecarribee Shire Council is authorised to exercise the functions of the Minister for Planning under s.3.36 of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979 as have been delegated to it with regard to this Planning Proposal.
