Background

Local Planning Panels provide strong procedural checks and balances without hindering the overall functioning of the planning system. Wingecarribee Local Planning Panel was established and endorsed by Council on 26 March 2021.

The Wingecarribee Local Planning Panel meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month in the Council Chamber, Civic Centre, Elizabeth Street, Moss Vale.

Meetings are live-streamed on the Council website and consist of a panel of three independent experts and one independent community member who determines certain types of development applications and provides advice and recommendations on planning proposals.

Community members are required to join the Local Planning Panel to assist in determining development applications previously referred to the Council for decision.
