Mayoral Relief Fund

11 February 2020

Wingecarribee Shire Mayor Duncan Gair has launched a Mayoral Relief Fund set up by Council to assist residents of the Wingecarribee Shire that have been directly impacted by the bushfires.

The Green Wattle Creek and Morton fires have caused significant damage to a number of our Shire’s communities.

“It’s going to take a long time to recovery from this disaster and I know a lot of people want to assist those residents impacted and help them return to some semblance of normality as soon as possible,” the Mayor said.

“On behalf of my fellow Councillors and all the staff of Council I would like to extend a huge thank you to all our firefighters and everyone helping with the ongoing efforts to protect our community,” the Mayor added.

Now is the time to look after each other and a donation of any amount will be greatly appreciated.
