Casburn Park Upgrade Underway
We are excited to announce that the Casburn Park upgrade is officially underway! After a thorough community consultation process, the design plans have been finalized and we are confident that this upgrade will greatly enhance the park for everyone's enjoyment.
We are pleased to inform you that Lamond Contracting, a reputable company known for their successful delivery of recent park upgrades such as Seymour Park and Bong Bong Common, has been awarded the construction contract. With their expertise, we are confident that the Casburn Park upgrade will be completed to the highest standards.
The upgraded Casburn Park will feature a variety of exciting additions, including a Fire truck play station, Picnic areas, a brand new amenities block, a thrilling flying fox, upgraded climbing equipment, improved parking facilities, new footpaths, Timber Decking, and most notably, Wingecarribee's first Pump track. The design and installation of the Pump track will be handled by Velo Solutions, a highly respected company known for their expertise in this area.
Work on the upgrade officially commenced on January 15th and is currently underway. We anticipate the completion of the project by June 30th. Please note that for safety reasons, the existing park area is now fully fenced off and closed to the public. We kindly ask for your cooperation and understanding during this construction period.
While the park is closed, we understand the inconvenience this may cause. However, we would like to inform you that the nearest public toilet facility is located on the other side of the railway track, up the road at Bill O'Reilly Oval. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this construction period.
